Career profile

As an employee in various engineering positions since 1996, I was blessed with invaluable mentorship from academically qualified engineers in a wide range of fields. Building on over a decade of professional experience, I became an independent systems engineering consultant in 2010.

My primary focus since then has been on time constrained projects related to the design, implementation, and migration of critical systems from large e-commerce platforms to core banking infrastructure.

Personal background

My passion for technology started as a child in the late 1980s. By the age of eleven, I had read many books about computers and programming in our local library when I finally got one: a second-hand Atari 260ST. It only came with a bunch of compilers, so I learned how to write software for it. Not long after that, I operated my own BBS on two IBM PCs before I discovered the Internet and volunteered to work for an ISP.

Although I started working full-time as a software engineer even before leaving high school, for me, working with technology will always remain a very personal matter rather than a career choice.
